SVSEI's Explorer Coloring Contest
COLORING CONTEST RESULTS
Congratulations to our SVSEI's three Explorer Coloring/Art contest winners: Thomas Fee, lower elementary school and grand prize winner, Pari Patel, upper elementary school winner, and Charlie Goulart (not pictured above), middle school winner. The former two winners received their awards at this year's EXPLORE STEAM Fair.
Explorer, SVSEI's STEAM fair mascot, was designed and sketched by local illustrator Mark Hoffman. We asked our local children to help us decorate Explorer and its background, with imagination and the best use of space and color being the contest criteria. Computer generated artwork was not allowed.
Here are the three winning entries:

Grand Prize and Lower Elementary School Winner

Upper Elementary School Winner
Pari Patel, 3rd Grade
Middle School Winner
Charlie Goulart, 6th grade
Each winner received a $100 Booksmart gift card and the book "Kid Scientists - True Tales of Childhood From Science Superstars" by David Stabler and illustrated by Anoosha Syed.
Our grand prize winner, Thomas Fee, had his artwork become SVSEI's official mascot design, appearing on the 2026 EXPLORE STEAM Fair flyer and online materials (including the SVSEI Facebook page).
